Hi. I should think they are thin on the ground in NZ. Australia have few also. There are quite a lot in the UK. The value with these old cars depends on how much a buyer will pay. One car can be £600 UK another can be £2000 UK. When you have got it up and running you will get fun from driving it and a great cause of interest to others so hang on to it. Some advice though. Check brakes thoroughly as the cylinder rubbers may be perished and cause brake failure. Put new brake fluid in to be safe. Check all water hoses for weak points and that the water pump is quiet. Then grease every grease point, there are about 20. If the car has stood for long period out of use when the exhaust gets hot it may split aor the brackets may break, so check exhaust by tapping it. Good Luck. If you need maintenance books we have then. Regards Ian.

The webmaster has a car similar to yours. I am asking him if he will put a photo of the dash layout on this site. The instruction book shows the detail but not in photographic detail. If you would like one it will be a useful form of reference and maintenance. regards Ian.

Hi! I live in Australia and have a 1954 Standard 10, in fairly good condition. Beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder, and I thought mine was a steal at $2400AUD. I ran her in last year's Bay to Birdwood here in Adelaide and she was the only 10 out of 1450 or so vehicles.(See previous messages when I was trying to find out about commission numbers) I can send you a digital photo of the dash on mine if it helps. Good luck, and take on board Ian's advice. He knows his stuff.

Hi Gordon. Good to see you logging in again. David and June Kent (Flying 8 Tourer) have been here for last 9 days and we have been showing them Standards English style. It would help us if you would put that digital photo to the webmaster as he is probably busy and not got round to it. Did you manage to get the prints of pre 1920 Standards from Trevor as I would very much appreciate them. Keep in touch. Regards Ian.
