Thanks to Pete Foster for parting with his well-kept Standard Companion and to Ian Leggett for introducing us. This will be the most tense 28 days awaiting arrival of the ship here at the port in the Northwest USA. Cheers to all! Walt Fogle

FYI: There is a Triumph Ten Estate Wagon on E-bay, located in the US. Looks very clean. Item # 4579738006. If a club member wins it, please let the rest of us know so we can compare notes!

Geeee! You do seem to have a few problems to sort. However, all may well NOT be lost. It seems that you will first need a full workshop manual to work from, so ask Ian Leggett if you don't already have one that is! He usually has the one you will need. A parts manual as well will show you most of the breakdown of the parts you need. Replacement carbs? (if the spindles are wourn it is probably the best way to go, rebushing is possible but expensive. A swap carb is far cheaper and can be got through the cub spares. Things like valve adjustment which is not difficult is in the manuals. To use an old expression [When All Else Fails - Read The Instructions". Cheers, Tina
