I am arranging for a Standard display as part of a major display of Standard Triumph cars in the marque's home city of Coventry on 13th September which is Heritage Weekend. This is a weekend when many places in the city centre which are normally closed open their doors for the general public. If enough cars attend the overall event they will be displayed around the city centre,in Millenium Square outside the Transport Museum,in Broadgate and by Coventry Cathedral. We will be placed opposite the Flying Standard pub in Ironmonger Square. If anyone wishes to attend please could the let me have an SAE to my address in the Review and the following information:- Name and address of driver Telephone number Email Make Model Year of manufacture Any special information about the car
My deadline is 25th August

With you Peter.
Let me know the details when you can. I'll look to get the envelope off as soon as pos.
Would be great to have all models/variations covered. I did like the venue last time we went.

I have now sent off the Club entries as today was my deadline as I'm going on holiday. However the deadline of the main organiser Lesley Phillips is 29th August so if there are any last minute entries please send direct to Lesley whose address is on the form and ask to be parked with the Standards. We now have 7 Standards entered,2 Super 10s 1955 and 57,a 1954 8 De Luxe,a 1957 8 Gold Star,a 1936 A10,a 1930 Teignmouth and a 1953 Vanguard. Peter Lockley

I have a 'ticket' to park in Millenium Square in Coventry so, unless the weather is foul, I will be heading over from Peterborough on the 13th. Is there anyone else from this neck of the woods going? If so, would they like to travel in convoy? I always find it somewhat comforting to know there is someone else about on a longer journey (at least 65 miles each way). I'll probably be taking my Triumph Roadster because the Standard 14 isn't quite up travelling at 50+ mph, and those big trucks can be a bit intimidating.
