Hi folks. (Well if anyone is looking at this page.)The WCBCCTour takes place on the 2nd April. There are some Standards from the club registered so we'll have a good representation. Hopefully some photos will be got too. To get the numbers up I have included a few other clubs, so we now have 30 classic cars (1938 - 1993) advised as taking part in this 135 mile all day route. We start our engines from the Old Wagon & Horses, Kidderminster Rd, Ismere, Stourbridge at 9am on Saturday 2nd April 2016. We should be returning between 4-6pm after driving around pretty much the whole of Worcestershire's county boundary. Fingers crossed for the weather If all goes well we may do it again next year (I wonder how big Gloucestershire might be ?)Mark

Good luck with the event. Sounds like you have enough participants to make it worthwhile.

Cheers Etop
Hows your motor coming along? maybe I could get a route closer to your area in future.
I am working on a coast to coast route. (Borth to Lowestoft). Mind you that effectively means twice the distance for just about everyone taking part so it'll need to be in the summer. I guess its around 650 miles in total. Wonder if Bertie will make it without attention?

Coming along slowly but surely. Many other projects competing for my attention. I've put a few pictures up on the build thread.

Interestingly the Gloucester County Boundary Tour route would be somewhat longer than the Worcestershire one. I have roughly looked at it and it appears to be around 180 miles all round (very roughly by road). This starts in Gloucester trips almost to chepstow, up to forrest of dean, East to the cotswolds, South to the M4 the West to the M5 before turning back to Gloucester.
Hmmmmm!

WCBCCTour was completed last Saturday with a total of 20 cars. one failed to arrive due to wiper troubles, the rain was atrocious, and 6 others just failed to turn up or contact.
Having said that it turned in to a fab day and all but one that started completed the 150 mile course. Yes it turns out the maps are not as accurate as odometers!
From the 9am start we had 4 rest stops, lunch and 3 coffee stops, arriving back at the start by 5:30 pm. I was chuffed it went like clockwork. I did see a few learning puts for the next one, but all in all it was a success.
Our one car that failed to complete was a Fogey Sprite that developed fuel supply issues. Found out later the pump had overheated.
Thank you to everyone who followed the game and supported the tour. I'll let you know when the next one is and we'll see how many we can get.
Oh yes! Bertie was joined by only one other Standard. A pennant owned by Diane Ferris of Kidderminster. lovely car. All other cars came from 13 other clubs. Black Country Classic Car Club, Sprite and Midget Club, Fiat Motor Club, HIllTop Minis, New Unnamed Classic Car Group, Morris Minor Owners Club, Triumph Mayflower Club, Morris Register. Phoenix 5s, MX5 Owners Club, MG Car Club, TR Register, Rover PS Club. To be totally fair the majority were in the BCCCC and NUCCG as well as their own makes.
