Hi, new to the forum. Im trying to track down a 1932 standard little 9 with reg FW2777. In the 70s my father found this vehicle rusting to pieces in a field, bought it and restored it from bottom up. I have numerous photos of me as a child playing on the chassis etc as it was rebuilt and then as a teenager when it was finally roadworthy. Unfortunately shortly afterwards due to financial reasons my father had to sell it and the vehicle went to The Netherlands i believe. Recently i did an internet search and a picture of the car takem in 2009 appeared. I also note from dvla that the vehicle is currently taxed in uk. Until he died earlier this year my father always regretted selling the vehicle and i would have loved to let him at least see it again. For now i would like to see it myself and share the photos with the new owner if they are interested. Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards
Steve

Hello Steve, It seems you have already carried out the checks which I would have suggested, and remarkably, the car still exists under its original number (possibly non transferable?) It's location? For a brief period of time, DVLA/ VOSA actually displayed the details of the MOT station on their enquiry system - not anymore. As you probably know, in effect, you have to be the registered keeper to now gain access - via. Doc. Ref. Numbers etc.
Anyway, it is highly likely that a previous or current owner would have been a club member, and no doubt one of the officials will be along to help you by advising yes or no, and if yes, I guess they would be able to pass on your contact information.
If the club news turns out to be negative, you could try writing to DVLA stating you have important historical information about the car which you would like to pass to the current owner (please do not indicate that you wish to see the car or any sentimental detail). They may, just may, be prepared to pas on your contact details, but it appears they are far less inclined/now do not get involved with such matters.
Photo on Internet? Any indication of the areas this was taken? Any other clues? I have a pal who was contacted by a previous owner via. a link from a local car club,- simple from an Internet photo, so....
Interestingly to me, I just found a short You Tube on my 32 Little Nine when I was looking for your Dad's car. Good luck - let's hope the club is able to assist with a yes/no. Kind regards and Merry Christmas, Gareth.

I have checked the club database and the car belongs to a member, if you send me a private message with your details I will pass them to the owner. Richard

That seems to be a result Steve. I for one, would be interested to hear on here about you being hopefully being reunited with the car. Would probably also be the subject of a good article for the club's magazine. Kind regards, Gareth.
