I am afraid that I have to support Darrell and Pete's posts here.
Yes, the Club does organise one relatively expensive weekend every year, but this is well attended and appreciated by everyone there, who look forward to the social gathering. If they did not, why would they come? As has been pointed out, attendance at the hotel is purely optional.
Besides this, local groups attend many other Classic shows all over the country (Covid allowing) and many of them are free to enter.
The Club's monthly magazine is only as good as the input it receives, so please get writing. You can not and should not expect the volunteer editor to author everything.
The Club's volunteers will continue to invest in remanufacturing to expand the huge range of parts already available for our cars and to make them easily available via our WebShop. No one operating the service is salaried and all give their time for free. All profits are reinvested in more spares. It saddens me to see negative comments here.
The Club welcomes new ideas for items that you would like to see remade. And more volunteers please, if you have just a little time to spare. The Club's membership is still growing so maybe we are doing some things right?
