This message is posted for the chairman, who doesn't seem able to do it himself:
1.STAB Sunday 23 April 2006
This is a final call for Standard Triumph at Brooklands Museum near Weybridge,Surrey, the major event of the year for the Standard and Triumph marques. The event opens at 10.00a.m.Anyone is welcome to turn up on the day in their Standard. The admission charge is £7 (£6 for seniors,£5 for children 6-16 and free for under 5s).
There is a special parking area for Standards right next to the Clubhouse.
There will also be an area for parking trailers for anyone who is unable to drive their Standard to the event.
2.Best of British Festival Gaydon Sunday 28th May 2006
This event replaces the old Marque day though many of the Triumph clubs will still be displaying their cars. There will be numerous other attractions with other car marques and commercials and including the Routemaster's 50th birthday and a display of 100 years of Post Office transport as well as a countryside arena and numerous other attractions.Camping will be available.
Last year's event was superb and this year's promises to be even better.
We have been promised a large display area on the grass but this year on the other side to the food stalls. If anyone wishes to attend please could they send me an SAE and their car details, model, regn. no.,year and colour.I hope to get 2 passes per car for those who need them so could applicants also indicate if they will need 2 passes.
3.Town and Country Festival ,Stoneleigh -August Bank Holiday 26-28th August 2006
I have again booked a club stand for this event. Please could all those wishing to attend send me an SAE and details of the model,regn.no.,year,colour,and c.c. of their car. There will be 2 passes per car.
There is also a concours award and could those wishing to enter this please also let me have their home and mobile phone nos. and email address if available.Concours judging is only available for cars on the stand on all 3 days.
I need at least 8 cars on the stand each day and arrival must be before 8.30a.m. with departure not permitted before 6p.m.
Please specify when writing to me which day or days you can attend.
Camping is available and improvements on last year's arrangements have been promised.
In respect of the latter 2 events please could people remember I am not psychic and if I do not get an SAE and car details you will not get in.I raise this because someone last year expressed surprise a week before the event that he did not receive a pass when he had not even written to me.
Peter Lockley,
Chairman
