hi guys,
we have just bought a 1957 standard 8 to put on the road for the little lady, as im into hotrods and race cars im not going to be keeping the car standard. its not going to be anything wild just plan on lowering it, nice set of wide steels, subtle paint, fitting seat belts and a few body mods with the plan of fitting a cross flow in the future, but for the mean time we will be keeping the standard running gear.
would like to see pics of modded standard 8s if you guys got any.
also is there interchangable parts ie suspension or drivetrain with other vehicles?
cheers ifan

Welcome. I've got a build thread going on mine on here; there are one or two others modifying them on here and on Retro Rides. There's plenty of interchangeability with the Herald/Spitfire range.
I've got a set of four slot mags and 165/70 13's I'll be getting rid of at some stage - let me know if you're interested.

PCD is 4x95.25 or 3.75 inches in old money - same as Herald, TR7, Maestro, Montego Metro, MGF and a few others. The tyres are not mounted on the rims, so OK to split in that sense if that was what you meant. Looking for what I paid for the rims, £120 plus shipping if that's needed.
