A very important car has come to light in Northern Ireland, this car has had very little use in the last fifty years, since it was last recorded within the Standard Motor Club register in 1965.
The car was purchased from the famous Sword collection and was in the private collection of a notable Northern Ireland car collector.
The car is complete and a virtually untouched example of the 6 cylinder 20hp Standard chassis and is bodied with a fine open drive Laundalette body, the interior has been untouched since 1911, when it was built and if any paintwork has been done since then, it was clearly a long time ago.
The Standard Motor Club records this vehicle in 1965 as the fifth oldest Standard; it also records the first owner as being Miss Sylvia Pankhurst the notable suffragette and the second daughter of Emmeline Pankhurst. Can anyone provide or help me with any other information in regard to this car , or if there is evidence to link it to Sylvia Pankhurst / Thanks
