The shows I am publicising here are not supported by SMC. I have taken to putting them on here because no one else seems to be bothering to share and there really are folk in the Midlands who might just like to see where they can meet with their cars occasionally. Please let me know if you find them helpful and it would be great to see other Standards at these events with me. Feedback from you will help me provide more information that might be right for you. Keep smilin' . Mark Just thought I'd put another post on of a local event that members could apply to attend This one is the 'Hanbury Countryside Show 2016' This excellent event includes lots of displays including our type of cars, so let's make it even bigger by taking OUR cars to the show. I'm also told there may be a Lancaster Bomber in the area. That should be a fair draw as they are not seen everyday. So come along on the day to Park Hall Farm, Hanbury, Redditch, Worcestershire, B96 6RD To book your car a place please send an email to carolyn_shakles@blueyonder.co.uk More information can be had by logging on to www.hanburyshow.co.ukHope to see you there folks Smilalot M

Keep up the good work, I'm currently posting all sorts of events that I go to on the Bristol and New Forrest threads. I get the feeling that we are early adopters, but more people will join the forum eventually if we make it worth their while by posts such as yours.

A grand day out yesterday at this show. It's a good country affair full of horses, dogs, cattle, sheep, tractors, landys, cars and proper country goods. Great food & drink too. Tremendously well organised even, although the famed Battle of Britain flight appeared to get lost and failed to arrive for the fly past. Even the organisers were disappointed, especially as they didn't have the decency to advise they'd not be coming. Mind you it was amusing seeing the crowd looking skyward for 20minutes!
No other Standards there this time. Maybe we can make a team of it next year.
