My thanks to all the car owners for making the Bristol group stand at Sherborne Castle such a success.we had a good variety of Standards on show comprising 1927 V4 tourer,Avon 9 tourer,1935 10 saloon,Flying 8,2xFlying 12,1955 10 saloon and Vanguard. We even had an appearance by the incredibly rare Raymond Mays V8 FLN 386 on the field.Probably the only time some of us will ever see it. Thanks also to Bob Richardson for his invaluable help erecting the gazebo in high winds on Saturday, and to all the members for help in dismantling the stand on Sunday. Hopefully we will be back next year. Steve Smeltzer Bristol

As one of the entrants that attended, I would like to thank Steve for all his hard work in organizing the Stand. I had a most delightful drive down and home again after the show in my 1935 10. A round trip of 130 miles.
A mention must also be made of the camping stove, that Steve provided, along with the endless cups of tea and coffee. This was much appreciated.
Another car of interest in the show, was the 1910 Maudslay, 17 H.P. tourer. Maudslay cars were built by the cousin of Reginald Maudslay.
