Which model Flying Standard is it? The first ones were the 12,16 &20 so presumably it is one of these - most likely a 12. Do you have a picture?

Hi Doug, I have the owners books for your car which will cover all maintenance, most engine transmission rebuild and some of the body maintenance. As you have one of the first of the flying era of cars, most came out in 1936, it would be useful for you to join the Club if you have not done so already as we can source most of the items you may need (body panels are difficult). Also if you can get to Cambridge for the International Rally on June 30th and July 1st you will find other owners willing to assist with advice and possibly parts. Regards Ian.

To see a good selection of Standards in all shapes and sizes the best place to see them all together is at the 48th International Standard Motor Club Rally at Cambridge on June 3oth and July 1st 2007. Where else can you see about 100 Standards and get all the help and advice , and meet the owners and spares people. You can download an entry form from this site and you will see we have made a real effort to make all the family welcome. If you have a Standard but are not in the Club you are still welcome. You may want to join the friendly club for ALL Standards afterwards. If you know other Standard owners tell them also. With the 60th birthday of the Vanguard we will have a special item on the Sunday. We will have over 40 prizes to give away in a series of competitions and raffles with a £150 set of carpets as a first prize in the Grand Raffle. We will have a massive road run to an interesting venue which again is family friendly. We will talk cars, it is a car club but there will be plenty of other things to see and do for those in the family who are not quite so car minded. We look forward to seeing you there. Regards Ian.
