I am new here and i buy a standard 8 engine number ps6256dln. now i want to go tho the technical control and they tel me i need tho find the Vehicle Identification Number. the number thats on the body . but i can not find it. can someone tell me where the number is on the car. i am sorry for my english i am from belgium.

Hi Dayton. If you open the bonnet and look towards the windscreen on the left, you will see a steel plate on the bulkhead with numbers stamped on. This is known as the Commission or body number. The top of the plate will say Standard Motor Company Ltd Coventry. It would be a good idea to join the Standard Motor Club and get the Workshop Books about your car. we also have many spare parts which you may need to keep your car safe and running. Best Wishes ian.
