Hi please can anyone help. I have recently become a proud owner of a 1936 flying 10. A lovely looking car but with one small problem (i wish) . The main bearings and the big end bearings are shot. I have a very good neighbough who is a mechanic who has helped me to remove the engine and strip it down.I am unable to find any touque settings for any of the bearings or head bolts ready for when it is reassembled. I would also like to fit a temporary engine (A10) so that I can enjoy the car this summer. If any body out there knows of such a rare engine for sale. or an unfinished project that might be for sale please please please let me know.looking forward to any help. Many thanks Paul member No 5342

Hi. There were never torque settings for these cars. All the maintenance books (Worth having one, I have a Pitman in stock at £10) state that they should be fully tightened in an even way and then re checked and tightened before final fitting. Regards Ian.
