That's two of us going then!! We will be there all 3 days as well, different cars on different days but will look out for yours. We will be parked inside the circuit (hawthorn parking ) in the 14 on the Saturday. Are you a GRRC member? Do you get paddock passes? By the way Popple is the name of our 14. the Flying 9 is called Pip. Which we will probably take on the Friday. David and Lynn.

I was a GRRC member from the beginning (and a GSA member before that) but gave it up a few years back. I still get my tickets from a friend who is a member so I have access to a paddock pass and I usually park Puf in the GRRC car park by the Shell building.

I'll be there with Beatrice all three days in our 1958 Standard 10, WHP 109
Friday and Sunday I'll be parked on the Lavant Straight. Saturday I'll be parked in the "Road Tax Free" car park.
I have two Friday tickets and one Sunday ticket which I'm happy to let go for cost price. Please PM me if interested.
We usually bump into Geoff Winnicott in his cream and red Super 10. Lloyd McNeil's 10, and Ken's (Lloyd's Dad) 10 Pickup are usually to be seen in the Paddock.
It's the turn of the '60s cars in the St Mary's race so there won't be any Standards on track. However, big Yank motors mixing it up with Minis are always good for a laugh!
It would be great to meet up with other owners!

Saturday I'll be parked in the "Road Tax Free" car park. I saw something yesterday about infield parking for pre-66 cars. Do you know if that is GRRC members only? I hope they will be a bit more strict about what they let in this year - it annoys me to see rubber bumper MGs, TR6's, Stags, V12 E-types with personal plates on in the pre 66 car parks. Ruins what could be a fantastic black and white photo recreating what it would have been like in Goodwood's first heyday!

We are doing opposite re- parking ! Tax free on Fri and Sun, Hawthorne on Sat. The 14 is booked in for the Sat and we will decide nearer the time which other day we take the 9. We will probably take the Austin A30 on one of the days. Would be good to meet up. We always watch most of the racing on the Sat and Sun, get there early, try to get a good place on a corner, no grandstand tickets, just deck chairs and an umbrella if it rains. Look around on Fri and stay late every eve ! before going home (about 45 mins drive) Jim I think that the Hawthorne parking is open to any one willing to pay the exorbitant parking fees and owns a Pre 66 car. What used to be the Pre 66 parking was opened up to (tax free cars) so now you get some of the modern classics there ! A shame I think. If they must let them in then they could have given them their own area (like the back row). The idea of pre 66 was that that was the last year Goodwood had racing in period so those were the cars you would have seen. Still, they hand out programs in plastic bags and not every one makes the effort to go in period clothes but its still too good to miss. Not Long Now ! David & Lynn.

I remember the first year they did the pre-66 GRRC Lavant straight parking. It was free to members and I borrowed a 100E from a mate that, like my Standard, is top notch mechanically, but has the look of an unrestored 50plus year old car that is used every day.
The next year it was £25 a day to park there!
So this Hawthorne parking is for anyone prepared to pay. How much and do you have to book in for it in advance?

Anyone who is prepared to pay ....... wait for it .......are you sitting down ?..........Friday £70 Sat/Sun £90 !!! + you need your entrance ticket too. Yes you do need to book in advance but they may have some left and they thoughtfully kept some entrance tickets by too. The only reason we are doing the Hawthorne parking is because we left it too late and Sat tickets had sold out, unless of course we went for the Hawthorne parking ! I couldn`t miss Saturdays racing but will buy my tickets earlier next year.

Anyone going to the Revival this year?
Only a few days to go!
I'm in sunny Stanmore at the mo having seat belts fitted to the rear seat of my 10 so I can take my 4 year old Grand Daughter.

Yep, will be there on Friday. Not in the Standard though, still collecting bits. Sticky OSR calliper allowing, I'll be in the VW parked in the Revival Car show. First time at the revival, can't wait.

Yep, all three days again for me. Was looking like it might be the second time in the 17 year history of the event that I was going to miss a day, as my GRRC member mate left the ticket buying too late and Saturday had sold out, but an incredible bit of luck at work last week means I'll see Saturday's racing too.
Had PUF up on my mate's ramp last night changing the gearbox mounting rubber as the remote was thumping the tunnel rather annoyingly, and we noticed that the offside rear spring had a broken bottom leaf. Luckily I hadn't thrown away the spring that broke it's main leaf ( on my way to the Revival a few years ago by coincidence ), so it looks like I'm going to be under there again tonight changing that.
If you've never been before, Eternal Optimist, you are in for a treat!
