Just downloaded the membership form and signed in for the messageboard and thought I would say HI! My name is Russ and I drive a 1969 Dodge Charger (petrol money permitting) however my wife Theresa likes the less hectic pace of her 1936 Standard flying nine deluxe. Its a nice car having done only 15,000 miles from new and in almost new condition. We do have a few "issue's" with it as i'm sure most of you do but in the main its well loved especially by Theresa.
No doubt i'll be trying to pick your brains during the jobs that i'll have to do on the car so i'll post again soon.

Hi Russ. Good to hear from you. When I first started reading your message I thought you were from the USA with the Charger as we have had a lot of USA messages recently. So you are in Leicester and you are most welcome. There are plenty of experts in the Club and hopefully will help you with your queries. A photo of your car and a short write up would be welcome to go on this site. Happy Christmas to you and yours. Regards Ian.

Thanks for the warm welcome Ian. Yes I'm a brit. I'd be happy to post up some pics and a bit of history about the "Little Nine" as soon as we roll her out of the garage again. (I still can't understand how my wife got me to leave the Charger outside! Oh thats right, It doesn't fit ;D). Anyway, Theresa's got loads of documentation and history that was collected by the previous owner. Apparently the car was put up on blocks before the war and has only appeared quite recently. It was stored with 1930's style bedspreads and blankets over it in a garage with the windows open, hence its remarkable condition. I think the previous owner had some help from your membership with the odd spare part, the latest of which would be a side indicator/flipper. Got to go now but I will endevour to get some pics up on here before long.

Hi Russ. That's one of the finest cars you own (at least of my opinion). Nice to see that it is well taking care of. I know this is OT but do you have any more pictures of this car? I would appriciate it alot. I own a 1973 Pontiac Firebird (not trans am) my self and i love the muscle car era. You could see my car at andreaz.homeip.net. I would like to wish you all a happy new year! I do refer to the Charger ;D /Andreas South Sweden

Hi martensa, There is a pic of my car at www.usaimports.co.uk and if you move your mouse over it, It will change to a pic of the engine. My car is a clone of a Charger in the film "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry." Which is a 70's car chase film. Russ
