Not sure its quite that simple Phil. I asked about registration for the recent Gemini Weston Pk event and was told the club didn't intend to have a stand so would not cover. Didn't matter in the end . I still went. with another club Mark Since it was never advertised the club was having a stand I went to arrange displaying with another group but now knowing this I'm in 2 minds however I'm still asked for a copy of insurance which I don't have ?? Unless I have to contact owners club and get passes ?

The event was advertised with a full colour advert here to start this thread on Feb 17th, by the Club's Publicity Officer. The Club magazine has also carried copies of this. Sorry you missed it.

You could always go under your own steam. Mind you the TR event is pricey individually. In that case I cannot see the event organisers expecting their couple of hundred members, displaying their cars, having individual PL this was last years event photo taken by me Mark

Not sure about this years event Frank. This one was last year, despite the comments being marked 2016. They should be 2015

Hi, I'm Phil Homer and I am the Club's organiser for the Standard Triumph Marque Day at the Lincoln showground this Sunday.
This is the TR Register's International Weekend and will of course be busy on both days with TRs. On Sunday, courtesy of the Register, there are areas marked out for ALL the other Triumph Clubs involved in STMD including the Standard Motor Club which has its own area for parking. It will cost £13 a head to enter because the closing date for £10 advance entry, as advertised at the head of this thread, is now closed.
A number of Standards have entered on Sunday, including my own 1935 Standard Avon 10/12 Tourer. If, in addition you want to come on Saturday I am sure you will be made welcome, but you might be on your own. However, please note if you have a very original car and wish to enter for the "Survivors" category you need to be there on Saturday, and make your intention clear in order to be involved in the initial judging. It will also cost substantially more to enter for both days, but only the same as everyone else who enters for both days.
One might ask why it is so much money to enter and the answer is that the Register has to hire the whole showground and that doesn't come cheap. However, anyone who has attended Marque days in the past will vouch for how well attended, enjoyable and well organised it is. There will be a parade of Standards around Sunday lunchtime.
So I hope you will come along and demonstrate that the superior Standard marque is alive and well. Ask for the Club's parking area when you arrive, member or not. Members often complain that there are no events for them in the north, so here is your opportunity.
If there is any further info that you require use phil.homer@btinternet.com

I'll be there on the Saturday with my Vanguard Vignale, so if any other Standard owners turn up on Saturday they won't be the only one. I'm taking my neighbour from across the road who owns several Stags and a TR6, none of which are on the road!!! Standards come top the rescue!!!!

It isn't clear to me if this event is open to any Standard owner on the Saturday, Sunday, yes, cough up you £13 and marvel at all the TR pilots with the rest of the public but not sure about the Saturday, anyone the wiser? I attended the STMD at Prescott a few years ago, Saturday was a road run day with less cars but anyone could enter and mine was the only Standard that day, several more came on the Sunday. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it (and haven't been to one since! Family commitments etc.) So I think the answer is probably 'yes', if there is anything happening on the Saturday then Standards and not just Triumphs are welcome.
