Hello everybody - great to be part of the club. I'm trying to discover what became of my late father's car. It was a 1947 Standard 8 Saloon, Reg # AFB104. He owned this car from 1948 to 1984, when he gave up driving at the age of 84. I sold his car to a man in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, since when I have no knowledge of it. Any help or information you could offer would be very much appreciated. Thank you Ivan Harris

Glad to have you on board!
The registrar has a database full of all the surviving Standards that we know about. Send him an email at membership@standardmotorclub.org.uk as I'm afraid he doesn't read this forum. Regards,
Phil

Hi, Try the link www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk Then follow "Vehicle Enquiry" Which should take you too - This will tell you if the DVLA knows about it, well sometimes ! Half my cars don't exist, strange I have the registration docs !
