I am new to this site so let me introduce myself. My name is Dennis and I live in Ballarat ,Victoria Australia.
I have a 1946 Standard 14 drophead coupe, which is fully registered and is driven very occasionally. regrettably I may have to sell the car and wonder if despite the distance there may be any interest in the U.K .
Any comments?norden@vic.australis.com.au

Hi Dennis,
Is this a Standard Drophead Coupe or does it have an Australian body? The Standard version would be quite sought after, but the Aussie one less so as there are none here.
Regards,
Phil

Phil, thanks for your reply, All the literature I have indicates that my car has an English built fully imported body, but how can I tell? The engine no is ED3040E . Does carriage builders Fishlow mean anything to you?
Thanks once again for your help. Dennis.
P.S. I havn't worked out yet how to send photographs on this sight, but I can send some if you could let me know your email address.

Hi. I did put a reply on but it went in the wrong section. You probably found it as you mentioned the pictures. It certainly seems like it was a UK Car as Fisholow were the body builders. Like me you have not mastered sending pics by email etc so let us rely on Postman Pat. If you would send them to our webmaster he can put details on this site and some write up to go with it. He can then pass on to the Editor who can advertise it in the Club Magazine. I will send the address by personal Message. Regards Ian.

As a result of the inclusion of details of my 14 DHC I have had an enquiry from a prospective buyer here in Australia. No further action is anticipated at the moment because I am having the steering fault fixed. Who knows when it is right I may want to keep it, I will of course remain open to offers. Thans for the write up Dennis
