After the success of the Group's visit to the Launceston Steam Railway last September, which is hoped to be repeated this Autumn too, a visit has been organised by Steve Lovegrove, from Plymouth, to the Dingles Steam Village on Sunday 29 April which is just off the A30 between Okehampton and Launceston. There is a brand new display of working fairground rides plus many traction engines and a nice cafe. We are hoping to gather from 10.30am onwards. All Standard owners are welcome, members or not, preferably with their cars!! If you are interested in coming, perhaps you could phone Steve on 01752-702504 or myself on 01872-560477 or email me on hawksworth_147@fsmail.net Can the webmaster include this event on the main calendar for all to view? More information shortly on the Group's stand at the Powderham Castle Rally on 7/8 July and the West of England Steam Engine Society Rally at St.Agnes on17/18/19 August. Regards Brian Murrish

CAMBRIDGE>CAMBRIDGE>CAMBRIDGE>CAMBRIDGE.
Thats the big one in 2007. June 30th and July 1st is the 48th International Rally for the Standard Motor Club. We have members coming from Belgium and Switzerland so for UK members it should be a gentle ride. Cambridge is very flat so no excuse about steep hills. With 40 prizes on offer over weekend and in the Grand Raffle a set of carpets for your car worth £150 it is an extra incentive to come. We have made it children and ladies friendly so that there is plenty to do for the family. A good road run with a unique experience is arranged for June 30th, children will love it. Download an entry form from this site and send it off now, if you are not a Club member you are still welcome, if your Standard cannot come, you are still welcome. DO IT NOW. Regards Ian.
